Hello Beautiful people, I had to write this one todayyyyyy! , We're diving headfirst into the wild world of corporate decisions. Picture this: You're at work, typing away like a caffeinated squirrel on a keyboard. Suddenly, your boss bursts into the room, armed with a box of piping hot pizzas. You might think, "YEAAAASSSSS , a pizza party!" But here's the twist – it's not just about the pizza, it's about the dough, and I don't mean the crust.
Now, I'm not knocking pizza. It's a universal truth that pizza makes everything better- give me pizza anytime, any place like Janet Jackson , and there will be a permanent smile on my face! . But, let's face it, when it comes to employee happiness and mental health, it's time to put down the pizza cutter and consider some real dough-llars.
First off, the customer is not always right, let's EFF that theory right now, because the employees are the one that are trained to be there! Have you ever had a customer who thinks " You have stock, I know there's more in the back" or speak to you out of pocket! ? Then to be told by your managers or team leader " stay professional or don't take it personal" All that talk is about as reasonable as thinking a few slices of pizza will solve all of your employees' problems. Because let's face it, some of these customers are as horrible as a 1970's snow day in Montreal! Yet these companies still bend backwards for them to protect their corporate image & not lose money! But what about the employee who has to deal with this stuff? Pizza can't pay the rent, and it certainly can't cover the skyrocketing cost of groceries, bills, gas, car payments, and the high interest rates of your credit cards.
Inflation is like that sneaky topping you didn't see coming on your pizza bill- like anchovies -Yuck! If you're still paying your employees the same as you did five years ago, well, that's like trying to buy a gourmet pizza with Canadian pennies – it's just not going to cut it.
So, dear companies, let's get serious. It's time to put those extra pepperoni slices aside and start considering the financial and mental health of your employees. A little extra dough in their wallets, & more time off can go a long way in reducing stress and boosting morale. Remember, it's not just about the pizza; it's about the people who make your company tick.
In conclusion, as much as we all love a good pizza party, it's time to recognize that employees need more than just a slice of pie. They need fair wages, benefits, and a workplace that values their well-being. So, let's put our money where our mouth is – not just on pizza, but on the people who keep our companies running smoothly. After all, the only thing worse than running out of pizza is running out of dedicated employees.
Miss Trish
